Fuzhou No.3 Middle School (福州 第三中学 Fú-zhōu dì-sān zhōng-xué; also known as Fuzhou No.3 High School) is a high school in Fuzhou, Fujian Province, China.[1] It enrols around 2,000 students from grades 7-9 (middle school section) and 10-12 (high school section).
The school was founded in 1942 as the Fuzhou Municipal Lower Middle School (福州 市立 初级 中学 Fú-zhōu shì-lì chū-jí zhōng-xué). In 1950 it changed its name to Fuzhou No.1 Middle School. It merged with the privately-run Huanghuagang, Zhongjian, and Fuhua Middle Schools in 1952; the newly-merged entity was thenceforth called Fuzhou No.3 Middle School. In 1959 it was designated by the government as a "key provincial middle school". In 2002, the school was awarded the "provincial model high school in China" status.[1] That year, they also opened a branch school in Jinshan.
